Cisco AnyConnect VPN

From mid-morning Wednesday 26 April 2023, you will need to use the Cisco AnyConnect application to use Oxford VPN and your SSO credentials to authenticate. This will be a replacement for the current macOS built-in VPN, which will no longer be available once new system goes live on 26 April.

Why the change?

This change comes as part of our infrastructure hardware upgrade, which will enhance the security of our network and provide you with a more reliable and consistent VPN experience.

What you need to do

1. Install Cisco AnyConnect Client: You can install Cisco AnyConnect Client on your Orchard macOS device any time before 26 April in preparation for the VPN upgrade. Please follow the steps via this documentation link CiscoAnyConnect VPN Install

2. Use your SSO credentials: From Wednesday 26 April mid-morning, you will need to use your SSO username and password to connect to the VPN. Please follow the steps via this documentation link How to connect to the VPN

* Please Note - Logging into the new Cisco AnyConnect Client after installation via Self Service on your Orchard macOS device before mid-morning on 26 April, will mean you still need to use your Remote Access account to authenticate.
