Adobe Creative Cloud for Administrators

Introduction

For an introduction to the basics for Adobe Creative Cloud, please see the page intended for end users of the software. This page is intended for those with administrative duties in a unit, who will be responsible for the purchase and renewal of Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions.

Purchasing

Under the Value Incentive Plan of Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams (Education), subscriptions are purchased and paid for annually in advance. Each VIP agreement has what is known as an 'anniversary date' which is the date the agreement was first set up, and is also the date on which subscription renewals must be purchased. This date may be different depending on who provides your IT Support.

Subscriptions that are purchased AFTER the anniversary date will be pro-rated in the following way:

• The subscriptions will be free until the day of the month of the anniversary date.
• The subscription will be due for the remaining months until the anniversary date.

For instance. If the anniversary date for the VIP agreement you use to purchase is 23rd June, and someone asks to buy a subscription on 1st February their subscription will be free until the 23rd of February, and then will cost 5/12ths of the price of a full subscription, and would renew for the full price on 23rd June.

How you purchase your subscriptions will depend on what type of Orchard customer you are.

Orchard Fully Managed Device Services Customers

If you are a customer of the Orchard fully managed device services, you will procure and assign your subscriptions through the Orchard Value Incentive Plan (which, for historic reasons is known as Oxford University, UNIX Services Team). Prices for Creative Cloud subscriptions for these customers can be found on http://www.it.ox.ac.uk/nsms/charges#Orchard To purchase, please email nsms@it.ox.ac.uk with your request, making sure you outline how many subscriptions you require, whether you want them to be named-user or device-based, which users/devices you want them assigned to, and the cost code to recharge. The Orchard team will purchase and assign your subscriptions and then recharge your unit using the code you provide. At renewal time, the Orchard Team will email you to check if you wish to renew all subscriptions, or cancel any. We will then deal with the renewal and you will be recharged as before.

Orchard Tools for ITSS Customers

These customers will set up their own Adobe VIP agreement with the University's preferred reseller Bytes.
