Simple Computer searches using Search Inventory

When searching for a device, consider the searchable attributes below: tip You can use asterix for searching prior to the input, after or both, you can put in any part of the text providing it is relevant and still obtain results

  • Computer Name
  • MAC Address
  • IP Address
  • Username
  • Full Name
  • Email Address

Input

  1. Ensure you have selected Computer icon (top left)
  2. Search Inventory is highlighted on the menu
  3. Enter full or partial text into the search bar and select Search

Existing Saved Searches

Inventory information

Every online Orchard Mac will check in and report back to the JSS on a daily basis providing inventory information. This inventory information can be found by selecting the device.

The information will be as up to date as of the last inventory report

The General tab

The General tab will give you a break down of site, ip address, the last time it checked in and last inventory. The tabbed icons on the left such as Printers and MDM Capable users (who has logged to the machine)go further into detail and provide an excellent base for troubleshooting.
