Occasionally you may come across a problem with your device which cannot be fixed with software updates or reimaging. If you decide to have it repaired rather than replace hardware please ensure a ticket is raised with the Service Desk so that we are aware of the hardware issue https://help.it.ox.ac.uk/request-help
If you purchased AppleCare with your device, you can use the Apple website to check its coverage. Find the device's Serial Number (if you cannot find it, ask your ITSS to look it up for you in the inventory) and enter it on https://checkcoverage.apple.com/gb/en/
AppleCare repairs must be done by Authorised Apple Service Providers. One such provider is Amsys. To search for more Authorised Apple Service Providers in your area use https://locate.apple.com/uk/en/
If you purchased a non-AppleCare warranty with your device, such as XMA's hardware warranty, you will have to arrange for the warranty provider to collect your device.

If your device is out of warranty you can still get it assessed and repaired by an Authorised Apple Service Provider but note:
Just as with purchasing, your unit will have to arrange for the device to be collected, repaired and returned. Once the device is back in situ, the Orchard team will assist with re-enrolling the device and copying over any user data if possible.
